TV & wall mounting
TV Mounting in Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky
Mounted into structure, levelled properly, cables tidied. Drywall, plaster, brick or stone. Flat $85 service call and a 1-year labor warranty.
Anchored into structure, not into hope
A television on the wall is only as safe as what the bracket is fixed to. We locate the studs, verify them rather than trusting a first beep from the detector, and bolt into solid timber. Where a stud does not land where the TV needs to go, we use the correct rated fixing for that wall type, not a handful of plasterboard plugs and optimism.
Then it gets levelled, checked on both axes, and checked again on the bracket once the weight is on it. A mount that is a degree out looks wrong from the sofa forever.
Plaster and lath
Half of Greater Cincinnati was built before 1950, and plaster over lath behaves nothing like drywall. Rush the fixing and the crack runs a foot in each direction. We take the time it needs and we know what a lath key feels like through a bit.
Brick, block and stone
Chimney breasts and exposed brick need masonry fixings and a different approach to cable routing. It is very doable, it is just not a job to improvise at seven in the evening.
Cables out of sight
Cables routed behind the wall where the construction allows it, or run in a slim channel painted to match where it does not. Soundbars, consoles and streaming boxes mounted or shelved to suit.
What it costs
A straightforward mount onto a stud wall usually fits inside the flat $85 service call, which covers the trip and the first hour. Plaster, masonry, in-wall cable routing or a very large panel can run longer, and you get a free written number before we start.
The service call is charged once per visit. If the hall light also needs swapping and a couple of shelves want hanging, put them on the same trip and you only pay the call-out once.
Most straightforward mounts fit inside the flat $85 service call.

How much does TV mounting cost in Cincinnati?
Most standard mounts onto a stud wall fit inside our flat $85 service call, which covers the visit and the first hour. Plaster, brick, in-wall cable routing or an oversized panel may take longer and you will have a written price before work starts.
Can you mount a TV on a plaster wall?
Yes, and it is routine here given how many older homes the area has. Plaster over lath cracks if it is rushed or drilled with the wrong bit, so it is slower than drywall. We locate the framing behind it and fix into that rather than relying on the plaster itself.
Can you mount a TV over a brick fireplace?
Yes, using masonry fixings rated for the weight. Worth knowing that a mount above a working fireplace puts the screen higher than is comfortable to watch and exposes it to heat, so we will give you an honest opinion before drilling.
Will you hide the cables?
Where the wall construction allows, cables can be routed inside the wall to an outlet lower down. Where it does not, or where it would mean cutting into plaster unnecessarily, we run a slim surface channel that can be painted to match. We will explain which applies before we start.
Do I need to supply the bracket?
If you already have one, we will fit it, provided it suits the wall and the weight. If you have not bought yet, tell us the screen size and where it is going and we will tell you what to look for so you do not buy twice.
