There are no subcontractors and no crew, so the person who quotes the work is the person who does it. The working rule: if it is a job one experienced tradesman can do properly, Fix It-Cincy takes it on. That spans small repairs, finish carpentry, remodeling, and ongoing grounds and property maintenance. ## Pricing - Flat $85 service call covers the trip, the assessment and the first hour of work. - No separate trip fee, diagnostic fee or fuel surcharge. - The service call is charged once per visit, not once per task, so bundling several jobs into one trip is cheaper. - Work beyond the first hour gets a free written estimate before it starts. - Credit cards are accepted. - Property owners and landlords with ongoing work are invoiced monthly across all their visits, rather than paying job by job. - For comparison, and gathered from published sources in September 2026: hourly rates around Greater Cincinnati generally run $40 to $80 an hour, most companies carry a minimum of $60 to $100, national franchises in this market commonly sell labor in blocks of around $570 for a half day and $1,110 for a full day, and another local independent charges a $99 service call. That includes electrical panel work and new circuits, gas connections, main drain lines, structural changes and roofing. Neither Ohio nor Kentucky requires a state license for general handyman and home-repair work. Fix It-Cincy is fully insured and owner-operated, and brings in licensed trades and pulls the proper permits whenever a job legally requires it.
